Newly Married Recipe Ideas
Now that my husband and I have been married for one year and 3 months I have mastered a couple easy dinner recipes that are a hit each time! Neither of these are rocket science by any means but I find myself having these on biweekly rotation! I hope you enjoy!
Lemon Dill Salmon
1lb. of skinless salmon
1 lemon
Salt
Pepper
Dill
I have cooked the salmon in the oven, grill and air fryer. I’ve been loving to cook it in the air fryer most recently. Its so fast and doesn’t heat up the house! It is such a simple, tasty and easy dish. I usually will accompany it with brown rice and a green vegetable such as Brussel Sprouts or Asparagus. I simply pat dry the salmon, sprinkle with a pinch of salt and pepper. Squeeze half of the lemon on top and sprinkle with dill. I pop it in the air fryer at 400 for 8 minutes and voila! It is always cooked perfectly. I don’t use exact measurements and just eyeball it.
Turkey Taco Bowls
½ lb. of ground turkey
Garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, chili powder, cumin
½ can of black beans
Shredded lettuce (I use romaine hearts)
Shredded cheese
Brown rice
Salsa
Onion
Avocado
Tortilla chips
I love making turkey taco bowls for an easy weeknight dinner. It is tasty and hearty without being too filling. First, I cook the ground turkey, when it is almost cooked all the way through, I add in the seasonings. I don’t use measurements and like to eyeball it. Once the turkey is done, I like to throw the black beans in so they get warm. Now its time to build your bowl. I start with the rice on the bottom, then add the turkey/bean recipe. Next, put the cheese, lettuce, salsa, crushed tortilla chips and avocado. If I am feelin’ fancy Ill add a bit of lime juice.
